职位描述
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
* Leading the utilization of the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) process at the facility which involves leading hazard and risk assessment efforts and identifying/implementing corrective actions that appropriately reduce risk
* Leading the development and delivery of required regulatory training and work with facility personnel to increase awareness of safety and health hazards and risks
* Developing and facilitating a process to ensure timely completion of Department level Risk Assessments (DRAs) and facility level Safety Improvement Plans (SIP’s)
* Developing the Mills Capability to conduct effective incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions in order to prevent reoccurrence
* Enhancing the Mills capability in the development and implementation of fundamental safety programs such as Confined Space, Emergency Response, Electrical, Safe Work Practices, Lock Out, Fall Protection, Incident Investigation, Mobile Equipment, Cranes and Rigging, Personal Protective Equipment, and Safe Work Permits
* Performing ongoing evaluations/audits safety and health programs facility wide with Team Members to increase visibility of opportunities and provide floor level support and coaching
* Providing transformational leadership, direction, and influence to achieve the EHS vision through management commitment and employee ownership
* Ensuring the EHS vision is developed and integrated in facilities
* Ensuring an effective change management process is in place
* Utilizing development plans to grow the teams’ EHS skills and knowledge
* Fostering an EHS environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees
* Applying Human & Organization Performance (HOP) concepts so the facility becomes a robust learning environment where knowledge sharing occurs in an expedite manner
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
* One or more of the following:
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Environmental, or EHS field
+ Five (5) years or more of experience in a safety and health role in an industrial or manufacturing environment
+ Current or previous graduate from Georgia-Pacific’s ELP, EDP, or intern programs
* Willing and able to occasionally travel to support corporate initiatives
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or demonstrated progress to attain CSP or other professional safety certifications
* Environmental experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Previous leadership experience
* Professional Engineer experience
