Description:
The Westmark Group, an environmental engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a full-time project manager to support our on-going projects. We specialize in investigating and cleaning up sites where regulated and hazardous materials have been accidentally released to the environment. We have several projects that are approaching remediation or need additional studies done before remediation can begin.
The ideal candidate would possess ten or more years’ experience working on environmental projects with a minimum of five years’ experience managing such projects. Previous experience as a consultant is preferred but not required. A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or geology is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate would possess certification as a Nevada Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) plus another certification as a professional engineer or professional geologist.
The candidate also needs to have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; be a self-starter; and be capable of mentoring and training other members of our team. Experience leading a project, working proactively to anticipate and solve problems, achieving project milestones, and meeting deadlines is required. Our project managers must collaborate with the diverse members of our team including interns, field technicians, accountants, and other project managers. A well-rounded individual who is actively focused on professional development is preferred.
This position is based out of our office in Las Vegas, Nevada. Limited travel may be required, especially to attend meetings, collaborate with our Team, etc. Candidates must be well versed in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
