RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grow business and delivery of product stewardship services for technology clients.
Be the leader and technical practitioner responsible for risk management and regulatory compliance projects on a wide range of topics including, but not limited to:
EU REACH, Worldwide ROHS (EU, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India, UAE, etc.)
US EPA , Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
Responsible Recycling (R2), e-Stewards
Working knowledge or familiarity with labelling, marking, testing and certification regulations applicable to consumer electronic devices placed on markets in the Americas, EU, and Asia-Pacific.
Working knowledge of or familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IPC, ISO, CISPR, ASTM applicable to electronics and electrical devices.
California Proposition 65 regulation – chemicals list and product warnings.
Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) product regulations.
Battery, e-waste, medical waste product stewardship and extended producer responsibility.
Product lifecycle assessment, product environmental and social footprinting, environmental product declarations (EPDs)
Supply-chain single-use plastics reduction or elimination initiatives
Supply chain material/component compliance, sustainability, and transparency
Lead project teams providing technical oversight for written reports, data summaries, regulatory registers, and reports.
Lead strategic multi-year projects involving client-based supply chain data systems to engage suppliers, populate product component material compliance data, and generate reports.
Deliver on multiple projects within the client’s scope/budget/schedule expectations.
Ensure quality standards on the project’s work products.
Lead to the team building strong client relationships as well as collaborative relationships with other EHSCity employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS or MS in chemistry, biology, public health, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant scientific discipline and experience.
10+ years of relevant experience in industry or consulting.
Deep technical skills and attention to detail using Microsoft Excel, Access, or similar data analysis and management tools.
Energetic and motivated leader with some experience navigating ambiguous directions and data sets and moving projects forward.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to succeed in a consulting paced environment, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent quality delivery, collaboration, and problem resolution skills to drive technical and business success on projects with key clients.
